For a scent called eros I found the original sweet but not really "erotic" / sensual, which didnt make sense with the name. The extra citrus notes and the slight spiciness make flame much more suited to be called something like "eros" imho. The opening is the most different, but while thebdry down is similar, the slight bit of spice .

This cologne is not a summertime staple but more of a wintertime cologne. It's dense & thick & dark. It's more of a rose-vanilla perfume than it is a spicy citrus bomb (although you could wear this in summer under the right conditions). If you like roses then this is actually a very well-blended and long-lasting cologne which I highly recommend.

Both are good, regular Eros is a bit rough around the edges but it’s maybe more interesting, Flame feels better blended and like an objectively better fragrance but it doesn’t have the oomph that the original Eros has.
